S2 had 18th yesterday. We walked and talked and to mark the life transition he selected a timepiece at Pike’s. Later we ate at Citi Zen – Canard à l’Orange Chinese style.

The new Bond movie Casino Royale – seen with S2 courtesy of JALPAK Travel … thanks, Alison! S1 dropped us off at Hindmarsh Sq in the new black Peugeot 307.
Bond’s recipe for dry martini (which he named ‘The Vesper’) is from chapter 7 of the book:
“A dry martini,” he said. “One. In a deep champagne goblet.”
“Oui, monsieur.”
“Just a moment. Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?”
